I started young, I remember always driving something that did some sort of job or building things. Or even sometimes tearing things apart to see how they worked.... I always wanted to know more, learn how to run different equipment , create things , change things, build.
Absolutely nothing has changed!
WOLF CONSTRUCUTION
I opened my first construction company at 18. I had worked as a laborer for a small company for the 2 years before and I worked as farm labor before that; I thought I was ready. What followed was the best and worst thing that could happen to a young business owner, we grew, ALOT. Through the growing pains I always tried to expand our services and take on bigger and more complicated projects. When I was 21, the partner I had taken on decided it would be best too close. We had taken some high risk jobs, and greed and poor business decisions had gotten the better of us.
REAL ESTATE/SPECIALIZED
What followed in the years after my first business was about 10 years of skill set building and taking in as much knowledge as possible. I feel like I did a little bit of everything. Really looking back it was mostly building and running equipment. I got to work with my dad, and we were pretty fortunate to get to do a lot of amazing things...... I worked for state, cities, counties, on dams, parks and golf courses. Of course like everyone in 2008 we dabbled in a little real estate and new home construction, we all know how that that story went.
2010
Ugh....so finally I went to work again for someone else. After the turbulence of 2008-10 it was the right thing for me to do. I hated it.
In all honesty though, it was another solid 10 years of me absorbing as much knowledge as I could , and passing some along. It ended up being a great experience. I made connections that I will have the rest of my life but I knew someday I would need to open my own company again.
2019 NWC
So finally 2019, lets open up!
This was one of the hardest decisions I ever made. After other attempts , I once again decide to open a small construction company.
I have spent the last 25 years learning everything I can, trying to surround myself by some of the most talented people I know. I feel seasoned , and now I can do things the way I want, no compromise . I want to build things that last a lifetime, I want to build things that have character. I want to change the landscape, make it what I want.
I want to do things that are passed on through generations!
